Open Call for Earth Prize Environmental Sustainability Competition

The Earth Prize is a USD 104,500 environmental sustainability competition for teenage students worldwide, recognizing and awarding students who develop solutions to accelerate positive change for environmental sustainability. Registration for The Earth Prize 2027 is open from 11 January 2026 until 10 January 2027. The competition includes a multi-phase judging process and public voting, with seven Regional Winners each awarded USD 10,000.

The competition challenges teenage students to develop and submit solutions intended to accelerate positive change for environmental sustainability. It emphasizes validation-first development, mentoring support, and staged refinement of ideas through video and planning materials.

The competition is structured into multiple phases: registration, blueprint submission, scholar selection, scholar submission, regional winner evaluation, public voting, and a final awards ceremony. Scholar teams are matched 1:1 with The Earth Prize Mentors to support and guide preparation of the Scholar Submission. Throughout the competition, participants can also access mentoring through one-to-one sessions on The Earth Foundation Discord Community.
