Who we are
GreenAccelerators ("we", "us") is a green-economy opportunity platform operated by Vestravion Governance Lab in collaboration with Clement Isong Foundation, based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. This page is maintained by the platform owner and explains how we handle personal data on greenaccelerators.com.
What we collect
- Account data you give us when you register: name, email address, phone number, account type (youth, SME, stakeholder) and profile details you choose to add.
- Application data: the opportunities you apply to, and any CV or supporting document you upload.
- Newsletter data: your email address and subscription preferences if you subscribe.
- Usage data: anonymised page views, device type and referrer, collected through analytics.
How we use your data
- To create and operate your account and show you relevant opportunities.
- To pass your application (and CV, where you attach one) to the organisation posting the opportunity.
- To send the newsletter and opportunity alerts you opted into.
- To measure aggregate platform usage and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your contact details publicly; profile contact information is restricted at the database level.
Cookies and advertising
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and local storage to remember preferences such as your cookie choice. We use privacy-friendly analytics with IP anonymisation to understand which pages are useful.
Where advertising is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
Data storage and security
Data is stored in a managed Postgres database with row-level security policies that restrict each record to its owner and to explicitly authorised roles. Uploaded documents are held in private storage buckets. Access is over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
Retention
We keep account and application data for as long as your account is active. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. You can request deletion at any time and we will remove your account data, subject to any records we are legally required to retain.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, withdraw consent, or unsubscribe from emails using the link in every newsletter. To make a request, email privacy@greenaccelerators.com.
Children
The platform is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the "last updated" date above.
