About this opportunity

The Siemens Energy Education and Development (SEED) Solar PV Installation (SPVI) Training offers professionals and technicians an opportunity to strengthen their technical knowledge and practical skills in solar photovoltaic installation and renewable energy technologies. The training is supported by the Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP), a technical assistance programme co-funded by the European Union and the German Government and implemented by GIZ.

Designed to respond to the growing demand for technically competent renewable energy professionals, the programme combines classroom-based theoretical instruction with practical, hands-on learning, technical site visits, and competency assessments. Successful participants will receive COREN Certification upon completion.

The training itself is offered free of charge, and the cost of certification is fully covered. Meals are provided on training days, though participants are responsible for their own accommodation and transportation. The training will be conducted in-person over three weeks in September 2026 across two locations in Nigeria: Lagos State and Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Who Can Apply

Open to professionals, technicians, and individuals working or intending to work in solar PV installation. Applications are encouraged from individuals with both formal educational qualifications and practical or experience-based backgrounds. Applicants must be able to physically attend the three-week training in person in either Lagos State or Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.

Applicants must complete and submit the online application form for their preferred training location (Lagos State or Abeokuta, Ogun State) and confirm their ability to attend the full three-week physical training in September 2026.
