Building Resilience through Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation - Online Certificate Course

Disasters in the recent past have become a major global concern and challenge. Increasing disasters are attributed to a number of human-origin factors, such as environmental degradation and rapid population increase with subsequent expansion of urban centers, leading to increased population vulnerabilities. Plans such as the Hyogo Framework of Action and the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction were developed to establish collective and coordinated efforts to deal with these challenges. Development partners, governments, and practitioners prioritize mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) in humanitarian and development interventions.
