About this opportunity
The Climate Democracy Accelerator (CDA) is a six-month training and support program offered by People Powered. It aims to empower government and civil society leaders to develop participatory programs that shape climate policy, focusing on regenerative agriculture and renewable energy.
The Climate Democracy Accelerator is designed to support leaders in creating inclusive and participatory processes for a just climate transition. The program focuses on two main areas: renewable energy (projects aiming to increase access to clean energy sources such as solar, wind, and water) and regenerative agriculture (initiatives focusing on restoring soil health, enhancing biodiversity, and supporting local economies). It aims to engage marginalized voices in decision-making to ensure equitable solutions that meet community needs.
Participants receive a $10,000 USD implementation grant, with the potential for an additional $15,000 for the top six action plans. The program includes mentorship, access to a Participation Playbook, live sessions, online courses, and localized resources.
