Dresden Nexus Conference 2027 in Barcelona: Call for Abstracts Opens October 2026 – Prepare to Apply

The Dresden Nexus Conference (DNC) 2027 will take place in Barcelona, Spain, marking the first time the conference moves outside Germany for a dedicated Mediterranean Edition. The international conference provides a platform for exchanging research, policy perspectives, and practical experiences around the Resource Nexus approach and integrated management of environmental resources.

The 2027 conference will focus on environmental challenges particularly relevant to the Mediterranean region, including water scarcity, land-use planning, coastal and marine management, and the land–sea continuum. By bringing together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, UN agencies, and civil society organizations, DNC 2027 aims to bridge integrated resource management theories with regional realities and practical implementation.

The Call for Abstracts will officially open on 15 October 2026 and close on 15 November 2026. Prospective contributors are encouraged to prepare their submissions early to demonstrate their work's relevance to the Resource Nexus and sustainable environmental management.
