About this opportunity
Established in 2018, Bybit is one of the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges and digital financial platforms, serving over 80 million users across more than 200 countries and regions. Bybit delivers a seamless ecosystem across trading, payments, wealth management, custody, institutional services, and Web3.
Bybit is expanding its focus to cover AI-augmented threat intelligence and post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) security. The ideal candidate will combine deep blockchain forensics expertise with working knowledge of machine learning techniques for anomaly detection, and awareness of quantum computing threats to current cryptographic foundations (ECDSA, RSA) used across blockchain ecosystems.
Main Responsibilities:
- Leveraging LLM techniques to drive the development of next-generation on-chain risk identification and threat intelligence systems, including autonomous agent workflows capable of continuous monitoring, self-triggered investigation, and automated operational responses.
- Leading forensic investigations on real crypto theft, fraud, and market manipulation cases, integrating AI-assisted pattern recognition to accelerate root cause analysis.
- Researching post-quantum cryptographic algorithms (NIST PQC: ML-KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA, FALCON) and their implications for blockchain security; assessing quantum computing threats to existing cryptographic foundations (ECDSA secp256k1, hash functions) and evaluating migration paths.
- Partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders for incident response, and engaging with academic institutions to translate frontier research into deployable security tools.
Benefits include a Study Growth Fund for professional development, internal events, global collaboration opportunities, career advancement, and internal mobility.
