Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center Conservation Internship Opportunity: Gain Hands-On Experience with Endangered Animals

The Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center Conservation Internship Opportunity offers wildlife conservation enthusiasts, aspiring biologists, and students interested in animal rehabilitation the chance to gain practical field experience at a wildlife release site. Promoted in connection with the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, this placement focuses on working directly with rehabilitated and critically endangered animals as they prepare for their return to the wild.

Participants will live and work at a wildlife release site, gaining hands-on exposure to practical conservation activities. Key responsibilities include supporting wildlife monitoring, release, and tracking; collecting animal behaviour data to support conservation research; designing environmental enrichment activities; and foraging for natural foods for animals in pre-release care. Additionally, participants learn ethical wildlife conservation practices and responsible animal care alongside experienced professionals.

This placement is particularly relevant to students and early-career professionals exploring careers in biology, zoology, wildlife management, ecology, and environmental conservation. Prospective applicants should note that participation fees, accommodation, living costs, and Erasmus+ funding eligibility should be confirmed directly with Rescate Wildlife prior to applying.
